Adult day programs are supervised and supported social and recreational activities provided at a location outside the person with dementia’s home.
Programs generally include meals, transportation to/from the program, some personal care, and appropriate activities). Hours of operation may vary).

May include: Recreational programming; Assistance with personal care/activities of daily living; Light physical activity; Meal(s);
Transportation options; Minor health care assistance (e.g., monitoring of medications, weight and/or blood pressure).

Population Served:

Individuals with dementia. A physician’s diagnosis is required.

Serves primarily Scarborough and East York, anyone outside these areas may attend if they provide their own transportation.

Cost:

$20.00 per club – see below. Each club includes a hot meal, snacks, recreational programming and some personal care.

Service Limitation:

The Lunch Club is open Monday through Saturday, 7 a.m.to 5 p.m. Club members enjoy a full hot lunch and a variety of therapeutic activities. Members may also access Providence Healthcare’s Outpatient Clinics and other services, such as the beauty salon.

Clients may attend up to three clubs per week. Clients may schedule a combination of days, evenings or overnights. Flexible hours allow clients to carry over into other clubs.
