Psychiatric Emergency Services are available 24 /7 at St. Michaels Hospital Emergency Department. The Geriatric Emergency Nurse (GEM) specialist may be consulted for patients over the age of 60 if geriatric issues are present (i.e. dementia, depression, behavioural disturbance) and requested by the Psychiatric Emergency Services. The GEM nurse is available Monday to Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Services can be provided in different languages with the assistance of St. Michaels Hospital Interpretation services. Clients need to notify office ahead of appointment if assistance is required.
