At Life in Full, I provide individualized, one-to-one care plans based on client goals and needs for those living with dementia or other such challenges/diagnoses. We may work on: mobility, memory, social effectiveness, coordination, mood regulation, community integration, etc. Therapeutic programming could include: adapted sport, swim, hiking, cognitive games, community outings, journaling, reminiscence, creative arts, Montessori techniques, and more.
All Recreation Therapy at Life in Full is provided on a one-to-one basis with a completely personalized approach. I assess clients in-depth and together with loved ones, we establish achievable, measurable goals, an evidence-based treatment plan, and schedule of sessions. Throughout our sessions, I work to help my clients in their functional and recreation goals through purposeful, enjoyable, results-oriented leisure activity. The overall aim is to improve quality of life and help bring a sense of purpose back to their lives by doing the things that bring them joy. I meet my clients in the community, their homes, and in various living facilities, and provide much-needed respite time to their dedicated caregivers and loved ones.
Goals vary from person to person, but the bottom line? To have fun! And enjoy a fulsome, meaningful life while moving past any barriers or obstacles.
