Mental Health crisis Intervention
Free. Program is funded by the Ministry of Health and Long Term Care.
Service provided by the Community Mental Health Crisis Response Program. For information and support call 416-498-0043 – 24 hours per day / 7 days per week.
Crisis response – when you call, a trained crisis worker will respond and assist you in dealing with the immediate crisis. A visit in the home or alternative location may be arranged with the mobile crisis team.
Crisis management – short term follow-up calls or visits for up to 8 weeks can be arranged by the mobile crisis team to assist in stabilizing the crisis situation. Referrals and linkages to on-going community supports are provided as necessary.
Geriatric Mental Health Crisis – a specialty geriatric mental health crisis team is available for consultation, assessment and crisis management support to seniors at risk due to: marked changes in behaviour, aggression, major losses, memory loss, family difficulties, wandering, suicidal thoughts, self neglect, abuse, mood changes.
