The practice of occupational therapy is the assessment of function and adaptive behaviour, and the treatment and prevention of disorders which affect function or adaptive behaviour to develop, maintain, rehabilitate or augment function in the areas of self care, productivity and leisure.

Population Served:

Individuals recovering from illness, surgery or hospital stay, physically or mentally disabled, persons with dementia and their caregivers.

Catchment Area:

Toronto including Toronto Islands, former City of York, Borough of East York, southern part of Etobicoke

Cost:

No cost to eligible clients.

Service Limitation:

An assessment is necessary for determining whether clients are eligible for LHIN services.
What you need to receive LHIN services:
– a valid Ontario Health Card
– live in the catchment area
– have a need for the service
– must be unable to go out of home to receive health care service.
