Programs that may provide a full range of palliative and supportive services for terminally-ill people who are in the final stages of illness and for their families. Services may include medical care, pain and symptom management, home nurse visitation, case management, counselling, and bereavement services for the patient and members of the family. A hospice may be a freestanding facility, a unit in a hospital or other institution, or a program of a hospital, agency or institution. Programs vary between organizations.

Service Limitation:

Service provided at client’s home by healthcare professionals.
Home Instead Senior Care Caregivers can supplement the care provided by your hospice or palliative care team by providing emotional support, companionship, housekeeping, personal care, and other assistance with day-to-day activities for the client, as well as, providing much needed respite for the family caregivers.
Home Instead Senior Care is the preferred provider for PSW support in The Dorothy Ley’s residential care program and therefore has Caregivers trained in Hospice Care both through our own training program and training with Dorothy Ley.
