The practice of physiotherapy is the assessment of physical function and the treatment, rehabilitation, and prevention of physical dysfunction, injury or pain to develop, maintain, rehabilitate or augment function or to relieve pain.

Population Served:

Individuals recovering from illness, surgery or hospital stay, physically or mentally disabled, persons with dementia and their caregivers.

Catchment Area:

Toronto including Toronto Islands, former City of York, Borough of East York, southern part of Etobicoke

Cost:

No cost to eligible clients.

Service Limitation:

An assessment is necessary for determining whether clients are eligible for LHIN services.
What you need to receive LHIN services:
– a valid Ontario Health Card
– live in the catchment area
– have a need for the service
– must be unable to go out of home to receive health care service.
