Programs that offer a facilitator lead group session in which unrelated groups of individuals, couples or families discuss their attitudes, feelings and problems related to their caregiver role and, with input from other members of the group, attempt to achieve greater self and interpersonal understanding and adjustment and explore solutions to their problems. May be ongoing or time limited.

Population Served:

Individuals who provide care and assistance to elderly relatives/family members including those who may be affected by Alzheimer’s disease or related dementias.

Catchment Area:

Markham Rd to Bayview Ave, Ellesmere Rd to Major Mackenzie Dr (York Region). There is no boundaries for the services if individuals provide their own transportation and providing there is space in group.

First Wednesday of each month from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

Friday evenings 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. ( twice every 3 months)

Third Wednesday of each month 2:30 to 4:30 p.m.
