Elder abuse includes any act of commission or omission that results in harm to an elderly person. Programs and services are aimed at preventing, identifying, investigating and/or mitigating the effects of elder abuse. Programs are specific to each organization. Population Served:

People 60 years of age who have been threatened or abused (physically, emotionally or financially), and meet ACE’s financial eligibility guidelines.

Catchment Area:

ACE serves people living in the Greater Toronto area, and may also provide services to seniors outside of Toronto if the case is of significance to the seniors’ community.

Service Limitation:

ACE provides legal advice and representation, legal education and advocacy services and has expertise in legal issues affecting older adults include issues related to consent and capacity, powers of attorney, retirement homes, long term care , hospital issues, patient advocacy. Contact ACE for further details.
The office is open Monday to Wednesday & Friday 9:00am to 5:00pm; Thursday 1:00 to 5:00pm.
